Soul man Tank breaks the tribulations of relationships down to a trilogy of 12 songs. Being that this brother is a stone cold singer, it’s a shame that some of the repetitively structured songs constrict his gifts. The overly wordy drama tracks in the middle “Please Don’t Go,” “I Hate U,” “Heartbreaker” and “Who Dat” all have the same tired melodies and don’t give Tank enough music in the tracks to be thoroughly inspired.

The exceptions are both carnal love joints: “My Body” and the Marvin-esque CD-closing Timbaland remix of “I Love Them Girls.” Tank needs to leave the new booty R&B shit alone and get back to meat and potatoes soul…because he can…and to not do so is such a waste.
